Stop the Bleed:  Are you trained in bleeding control?  The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding.  You can be trained to save a life with 3 quick actions.  We will teach you to pack the wound, apply appropriate pressure and dressings and discuss how and when to apply a tourniquet.  Course length is approximately 90 minutes.

Fire Extinguisher Training:  Have you ever used a fire extinguisher?  Do you know that there are specific extinguishers for different types of fire?  Which type of extinguisher do you use for a grease fire, an electrical fire or a gasoline fire?  Does your extinguisher even work anymore?  In this hands on class, participants will learn how to identify the different classes of fire, how to select the proper extinguisher, and how to use it to safely extinguish a small fire.  We will also discuss where to strategically place your extinguishers and how to perform a simple monthly inspection of them.  Course length is approximately 30 minutes.

Smoke Detector Installations:  We offer a program to assist Falmouth residents with the correct placement, installation and replacement of smoke detectors in thier private homes.  We will perform a safety walk through of your home and point out preferred locations for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

AED Checks:  Do you have an AED? A monthly check of your AED will ensure it is ready if needed.  We will come to your location to inspect the unit and notify you when the batteries or pads need attention.  We currently check nearly 50 AED's across town each month.

Fire Drills:  Fire Drills help prepare you to evacuate the building in a safe and timely manner.  Your alarm system will be tested to be sure our dispatch center receives notification of the alarm activation.  We will review the location of your meeting area outside the building with you to be sure it is safe from incoming emergency apparatus.  If you have a personnel accountability plan we will review it with you, and if you don't have one, we can help you design one.

Emergency Action Plans (EAP):  Emergency Action Plan development helps your business or group be prepared for a potential emergency by having a written plan in place before an emergency occurs.  Our trained crews will help you create or update a plan based on best practices.  We can also conduct table top exercises and drills to test your plan.  This helps prepare you for safe, organized and efficient response to any potential emergency.

Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspections:  Have you had your child's car seat checked for proper and safe installation?  We offer free child passenger safety seat inspections by our trained technicians to  by appointment.  Please call our administrative office at 207-781-2610 Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm to schedule your car seat check and installation.
