Falmouth Fire-EMS responds to over 1500 emergencies each year. We are a combination Fire-EMS department made up of three fulltime staff, ninety-five call firefighters and emergency medical technicians, and fifteen part-time firefighter/paramedics. The Fire-EMS Headquarters is located at Central Fire Station at 8 Bucknam Road and our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the daytime hours we are staffed with the Fire Chief, an Assistant Chief, and an Office Administrator who is also a Firefighter/EMT- Intermediate. In addition, the department employs one per diem firefighter/paramedic who staffs an ambulance at Central Fire Station seven days a week, 24 hours per day. To assist the per diem on the ambulance crew there is one or often two volunteer
EMT's who are on duty from the station or from home at all times. We rely heavily on our dedicated staff of volunteer/on-call firefighters and EMT’s to respond to emergencies and staff our apparatus.
Falmouth Fire-EMS provides emergency services from three stations. Each station is commanded by a Captain, and each apparatus has an assigned Lieutenant and a crew. Our three ambulances combine to run over 1,000 medical calls each year.
