Description: This moderately difficult hiking and exercise trail winds through the hilly, forested terrain behind Lunt and Plummer-Motz Schools. A 12-stage Vita Exercise Course is located at regular intervals with equipment for stretching and strengthening activities. Natural Features: The area was once open fields which have now grown into a first succession forest. There are signs along the trail to acquaint you with resident flora and fauna. In the spring and early summer,
look for wildflowers including Lady Slippers. Several rock outcroppings are also evident. Size: The exercise trail is about 1/2 mile long. Connecting trails can add length and variety. Location: The entry sign is located beside the Lunt School, behind the Maze Craze playground. Cross the grassy area behind Lunt School and the trail goes into the woods. Parking: Use the school parking lots. General Information: Esther O'Brien was a popular elementary teacher at Pine Grove and Lunt Schools for 25 years. She taught during the 1960's and 70's.
