Have you been waiting to try the Flyer? Now’s a great time! Here are some ideas for bringing this safe, clean, convenient Falmouth transportation choice into your schedule:

Click here if you live in the Foreside and want to start using the Flyer for trips to Portland and Central Falmouth/Rt 1.
Click here if you live anywhere in Falmouth and want to use Park ‘N Ride (or Bike ‘N Ride) to enjoy proximity to Portland
Click here if you live anywhere in Falmouth and want to use the Flyer for enhancing your shopping and errands in the Central Falmouth/Rt 1 area, exploring local businesses, and enjoying the walkable character of Central Falmouth.

First time riders, remember that, unless you have a bus pass, you will need exact change (bills or coins).  Other useful things to bring: a watch so you will catch the return bus, and a tote bag if you are planning errands and shopping.  The Flyer stops at numerous stops along Rt 1 and Rt 88 (marked with yellow-and-red signs) whenever someone wants to get on or off there, but only the stops named on the schedule are regular “time points.” You will find the driver is happy to help you with estimating the time of your return bus or choosing the closest yellow-and-red stop to your destination.  There are also some stops such as Maine Medical Center on Bucknam Rd. that are “on demand,” meaning the driver doesn’t normally go there but will do so at a rider’s request. To be picked up at an “on demand” stop, you may arrange with the driver on board, or phone Metro at 774-0351.
