Johnson Road Reconstruction
(5/20/09) Johnson Road reconstruction is 90% complete as of May 20, 2009.  All that remains is teh final striping of the travel lanes, bike lanes, crosswalks, and parking spaces.

(7/31/08) Weather permitting; the current date to begin construction is August 25, 2008.  The bid award went to Scott Dugas Trucking and Excavation of Yarmouth.  The goal of the Department is to have the base pavement and sidewalk completed by this fall with the finish pavement and loaming completed in the spring.

(7/2/08) The Town has assumed responsibility for the Johnson Road Project from MDOT.  The project was advertised June 24, 2008.  Bid openings will occur at the Public Works Office on Monday, July 14, 2008.

(12/26/07)  The referendum for capital improvements, which included funding for Johnson Road, passed in early November.

(10/15/07) Currently scheduled for Town Referendum in November of 2007.  Upon approval, Maine Department of Transportation to advertise project for bidding.  Construction late 2007 or spring 2008.
