Falmouth Road Reconstruction 2012
Falmouth Road Reconstruction (Blueberry Ln to Bucknam Rd)

10/16/12: Falmouth Road and Lunt Road paving planned for Thursday, October 18 and Friday, October 19. Expect additional delays due to the nature of this construction. These dates are weather dependent. Thanks in advance for your patience. 

9/6/12:  ontractor plans to finish grade and base pave Falmouth Road from Middle Road to Blueberry Lane starting Monday, September 10¬†through Wednesday, September 13.¬†Please expect additional delays due to the nature of the construction. These dates are subject to change with adverse weather.

7/17/12: Contractor continues to install the 12‚ÄĚ water main and renewing existing water services under the direction of the Portland Water District.¬†Blasting ledge to make way for the new water pipe and for the storm water drainage system. New catch basins and drainage pipes being installed around the water main until the system is complete.

7/3/12: With the temporary water mains and services installed, the contractor will start replacement of the existing 8" water main after the Fourth of July week. The new water main will be upgraded to a 12" main. The contractor anticipates blasting or jack hammering ledge, as needed, to install the larger pipe about 5'-6' deep in the ground. Expect to use the Lunt Rd and Middle Rd detour during daytime construction.

10/17/11: The Town is working with our engineering consultant to complete the bid drawings in anticipation of a winter bid for the project. The project will include road reconstruction, drainage, and sidewalk similar to the first phase currently under construction.  e anticipate the project will begin in May with construction lasting a majority of the summer of 2012.
