FALMOUTH WANTS YOUR BUSINESS TO RECYCLE
As part of the Town’s consolidation of recycling containers (silver bullets) to the transfer station, the Town is implementing a new program that allows Falmouth businesses to use the Transfer Station for recycling. This new program will allow businesses to use the facility for SINGLE-STREAM and CARDBOARD recycling. Once a business obtains a $5 permit/sticker from the Town, they will be able to use the facility for the aforementioned recycling services.
By recycling more, this reduces the amount of trash generated, which may save businesses money in trash collection and disposal costs.
For more information on this new program, or information about single-stream recycling, please contact the Parks and Public Works Department at 781-3919, or visit the following web sites:

In an effort to maintain recycling and disposal services at the transfer station, there have been changes in the fee schedule and hours of operation. These changes were a result of the current economic condition combined with a significant increase in cost to process and dispose recyclables. The Town could not continue to operate the transfer station without making these changes. The Town Council and staff discussed many options, one of which included closing the facility. Instead, the Town implemented the following fee changes in order to keep recycling and disposal of materials at Falmouth's transfer station. The Town appreciates your understanding with regards to these necessary changes.
1. New vehicle permit stickers are $5.00 annually. New permit stickers will need to be purchased annually. The color of the sticker will change year-to-year. Stickers will be valid until December 31.
2. Disposal of materials require new disposal tags or "tickets", which are $5.00 each. Tickets are available at Town Hall, Parks and Public Works, Shaw's, Hannaford, Town Landing Market, and Waldo's. All materials will cost 1 or 2 tickets ($5.00 or $10.00). Tickets are not available for sale at the Transfer Station.
