A copy of the Joint Meeting Agenda is attached.
The Town of Falmouth has been working with the Towns of Cumberland and Yarmouth to explore options to expand natural gas distribution lines throughout the three communities. In 2012, the towns conducted a feasibility analysis that created interest from natural gas utility companies. A request for proposal was designed by the towns and sent to natural gas companies. Two companies submitted proposals.
Staff from the three towns have analyzed the proposals and determined that the next step is to develop a partnership with only one company. All three communities have decided to work with Summit Natural Gas. A presentation was offered at the February 25 Town Council meeting. At that meeting, the Town Council developed the attached list of questions and input. Summit Natural Gas will be providing a response to this list which will be attached to this page at a later date.
A special web page has been created on the Town's website. The following documents support this agenda item and can be found by clicking here.
