Introduction of a zoning amendment by Councilor Pierce at the request of staff for changes to Section 6 regarding nonconforming structures.

ACTION: Schedule public hearing.
Code Enforcement Officer Justin Brown recommends amending Section 6 to allow detached accessory structures to be treated identical to attached accessory structures.  The current ordinance allows attached structures when a lot or structure is nonconforming but does not allow a detached structure.  It is also suggested that tear down/rebuilds of structures should be treated the same as expansions and enlargements. Please find attached a brief overview of the amendment and the draft amendment language.
