Subject:
Order to approve a Municipal Release Deed and accept monetary compensation and easement rights in lieu of back taxes.

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Summary:
The Town acquired joint title of Lot U18-023 on Underwood Road due to unpaid taxes.  It is now in the interest of the property owner, as well as abutting owners who wish to purchase the property, to have the Town release its interest in the property.

The property is owned by Deborah Zimmerman. Jay Edwards, an abutting property owner, is interested in purchasing the property and is willing to offer the Town $1,000 in cash payment and any rights he may have in Underwood Road to the ocean.

Attached documents include a memo detailing the history and draft documents for the easement deed to the Town, the Municipal Release Deed to Ms. Zimmerman, and Power of Attorney for Deborah Zimmerman.
