Order to change the Town Council regular December 29 meeting date to Monday, December 14.
ACTION: Council action anticipated.
The Town Council Rules, Section 1. states the following: "The regular meetings of the Town Council shall normally be held in the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m., or a time set by the Chairperson, on the fourth Monday of each calendar month except for an organizational meeting, which shall be held in accordance with the Town Charter. When said day falls on a holiday or on Election Day, the regular meeting shall be held on the following Wednesday, at the same time and place. The date of any regular meeting may be changed upon vote of five members of the Council,
provided, however, that said change in date will still provide for one regular meeting in each month."
If the Town Council chooses to change the meeting date, this rule requires the Town Council to approve an order.
