Introduction to adopt an Emergency Management Ordinance.
This new ordinance is required to support the overall Emergency Operation plan. The ordinance must be adopted prior to the formal Emergency Operation plan implementation and is required in order to receive FEMA funding/grants. The Ordinance Committee is scheduled to discuss this item at their February 8, 2008, meeting. A copy of their findings/recommendations will be submitted at a later date. A copy of the proposed amendment and introduction letter is attached/linked (including Council suggested changes from the Feb 12, 2008 Workshop).
