Order to authorize the Town Manager to dispose of certain town owned real estate.
The Town Council, at their November 13, 2007 workshop, requested the Council's Finance Committee to recommend action pertaining to the disposal/sale of certain town owned real estate. A copy of the Power Point presentation shown at previous meetings is attached. The Finance Committee met on November 26, 2007 and recommends the Council sell the following properties referenced by Tax Map Identification:
Field Road Gravel Pit (Map R03 Lot 078 Tax Sheet 130)
Highway Land - Falmouth Spur (Map R05 Lot 016-A Tax Sheet 300);
Landing Woods Lane Triangle (Map R05 Lot 022 Tax Sheet 330); and
Ramsdell Spring (Map U16 Lot 025 Tax Sheet 84), subject to a boudary survey.
The Finance Committee is recommending the timing of such sales be determined by the Town Manager so long as the sale process is complete by December 31, 2008 and that the process will be consistent with the Town Charter.
