Anyone operating a public dance hall or conducting a dance must have a permit. The application for a public dance hall license must be filed with the Town Council at least fifteen (15) days before any dance is held. It expires on December 31st of the year. The fee is $20.
The application for a dance permit must be sent to the Town Clerk at least seventy-two (72) hours before any dance is held. The permit will be valid for one dance only and at the place stated. The fee is $3 for a single dance permit; $10 for a quarterly permit.
Police supervision is required at all dances unless it is deemed unnecessary by the Police Chief.
Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not allowed in any public dance hall. Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All dances shall end at midnight.
